I am Kay Mount, Allied Member American Society of Interior Designers.  I was born in High Point, NC – Furniture Capital of the World. As the daughter of a highly skilled wood-craftsman in the furniture industry, I learned to love wood and the beautiful furniture created from it. Growing up in the world of furniture has given me an inside view and understanding of the furniture industry.

My interior design company has been in operation for the past 18 years.  Combining my expertise in design with my love of the decorative arts has allowed me to cultivate my unique design style.

In order to enhance my skills, I returned to High Point where I studied advanced designer furniture and cabinetry finishes.  I recently completed training in the application of faux stone counter tops at the Chicago Institute of Artistic Designer Finishes.  My training  has included studying painting with a number of nationally recognized artists. My work has been featured in local and national publications and television.  My design work has been featured on HGTV‘s Designers Challenge.

I find the world around me to be an endless source of inspiration, and I work to capture it on canvas when I am not capturing it in your home.
